I work on the mathematical theory of transformers with Yury Polyanskiy and Philippe Rigollet, trying to understand how AI models work and how to build better ones. These days I spend most of my time doing research with AI agents, burning through tokens and coffee. I’ve also learned a lot from blogs lately, so I decided to start my own — to keep what I’ve learned during my PhD from slipping away.
